Lois Jean Barnes, daughter of Celesta and Clifford Lucas, passed away in Caldwell on Saturday, May 22nd. At 97 years old, she was living on her own at home and still active. Born April 6, 1924 on the farm in Grant County, Oklahoma, Lois lived with her parents and brother, Clifford. Fred L. Wiedower, 75, passed peacefully at his home in Wellington, Kansas on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 with his wife and two children by his side. Born on October 8, 1945 in Stafford, Kansas, to Ed and Alma (Harbeson) Wiedower, he graduated from Caldwell High School in 1963. Fred attended Ark City Junior College for two years and then went to Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, earning his A & P license. For 47 years, he worked for Welco-Tect Aerospace.
