A Quote by Gladys at the age of 99

“I have such wonderful friends and family. God has blessed me in so many ways. I plan, when I finally get to heaven, to kneel at God’s feet and thank him for all the wonderful things he has done for me. In life there are good times and bad, but the good times outdo the bad. I love the good times and so far can handle the bad.”

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas.

Memorials may be given in memory of Gladys to the Sumner County Hospital District #1, Sunflower Cottage or to the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the mortuary.

She was a wonderful Grandmother.

I will never forget her farm lunches/dinners when family was visiting out on the farm. She would be working everything from "scratch"receipes passed down from the Strubles/Grimms for like 100 yrs! Men weren't allowed in the kitchen...but we were allowed thru to the restroom...she was pleasent about it...but firm. It was well worth the wait EVERY TIME. Countless family meals so unique I will never forget. After we said Grace....YUM! I always enjoyed Gladys and Harrys visits. May God Bless Her and her Family.

To the family of Gladys Grimm,

Jim A. Fuhrmann - 06/28/2019

I remember my grandma Flora Iva Fuhrmann and Gladys telling me stories at different times about how much they enjoyed their friendship. The first thing I thought when I learned of Gladys having passed is that they are rejoicing in being together again, that Grandma was there to meet her and welcome her home.
