Philip Hicks was born on March 4, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Francis Albert and Gwendolyn Imogene (Boyle) Hicks.
Phil married Cindy Boyd on February 14th, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri. They often joked they were married on Valentine’s Day so that he wouldn’t forget their anniversary.
He worked at Textron Aviation until his retirement. Phil enjoyed being a part of the American Legion and participating in the many activities they had, often riding his motorcycle with Cindy.
He and Cindy enjoyed riding his motorcycle to Rodgers, Arkansas to attend Bikes, Blues and BBQ’s. Fishing and camping were one of Phil’s many hobbies in addition to his love of animals. He and Cindy have had many pets over the years, all of them spoiled.
Phil passed away on May 1, 2023 in Wichita, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Doug and Keith Hicks.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; sister, Bonnie Hicks, sister-in-law JoAnn, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved pets.
Following cremation, per Phil’s wishes, no services will be held.
