Norma Irene Shelton was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Bluff City, Kansas to Louis and Josephine (Turek) Walta. She passed away on Wednesday Nov. 24, 2021, just 23 days after her 90th birthday. Norma attended school thru the eighth grade and then attended a country school before coming to Caldwell High School. Following school, she went to work renting out her boarding rooms and later managing the railroad motel across the street from her rooms. Norma slept during the day but was up
