Andrew Watsek

Andrew Thaddaeus Watsek was born to Lloyd & Margaret Watsek on March 21, 1979 in Wakita, OK. He grew up on the farm with an older sister Laura and a brother Mark. In childhood, he could be found exploring outdoors, catching frogs or avidly reading books. He attended Medford High School where he enjoyed playing on the football team and competing in pole vaulting. During the summers, he worked on both the family and surrounding neighbors farms. He also enjoyed working for a custom harvest crew. He went on to college at Oklahoma State University where he developed life-long meaningful friendships. Upon graduation from Oklahoma State, he moved to Dallas, Texas where he enjoyed a career in business intelligence working for various companies to include most recently Caterpillar at their International Headquarters. 

Andrew will be most remembered by his good natured spirit, mischievous personality and faithfulness in friendship. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dr. and Mrs. Milton Lloyd Turney and Mr. and Mrs. Aldrich Watsek; his brother Mark Lloyd Watsek and his nephew Lukas Nathaniel Armentano.

He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Watsek; sister Laura (Watsek) Armentano (spouse Matthew); Nephews Nicholas, Jacob, & Isaiah Armentano, and neice Jessica Armentano; Aunt Marilyn Hydrick (spouse Buddy) and Uncle Milton Turney (spouse Esther); Cousins Shellie Sweet (spouse Brian), Shane Henson (spouse Janet) and Matthew Turney (spouse Brooke).

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Nazarene Church in Medford, Oklahoma.

          Memorials may be made to the Nazarene Church and sent in care of the mortuary.
