Belinda Lea Simmons, 67, went home on July 23, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on Dec. 27, 1953 to Kenneth and Ruby (Dodson) Simmons in El Dorado, Kansas.
Belinda moved to South Haven in 1969 with her family. She was always on the go with work, helping her mother and taking her son where he needed to be. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and friend to all.
She worked for the Kansas Turnpike Authority for over 20 years where she made a lot of friends at work and also the travelers up and down the turnpike.
In Belinda’s spare time she liked to ride her trike that she had dreamed about having for years. She was always cooking and baking stuff for her friends.
Belinda is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; brother, Lacy; and aunt and uncle Herman and Ruth (Simmons) Miller.
She is survived by her son, Joey; mother, Ruby; niece Kim; nephew, Jacob; sister-in-law, Susan; numerous cousins, and her grand dog Jax.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Community Church in South Haven, Kansas with Pastor James Byers officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, South Haven, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and sent in care of the mortuary.
Visitation will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday

So sorry for your loss. My sisters and I had a lot of fun with Belinda when we visited our sister , and her with her mom. She always had a smile enjoyed talking to her.
