July 24, 1925 ~ February 5, 2018
Lillian Rose Ziba was born on July 24, 1925 to William and Christine (Walta) Ziba near Renfrow, Oklahoma. She had four brothers: Joe, Bill, John and Ed and three sisters: Clara Watsek, Marie Wood and Helen Ferguson. The family moved to Tipton, Iowa where Lillian started school. After the family moved back to the Caldwell area, she continued her education at Blackstone School, Brown School and Caldwell High School, graduating with the Class of 1944. Lillian attended Cosmetology School in Wichita. She worked at Faye Murray’s Beauty Shop in Caldwell.
On January 3, 1949, Lillian was united in marriage to Myrl “Pat” Allen. To this union, four children were born: Wanda, Charles, Don and Terry. They lived in Caldwell, Drury and Renfrow. Lillian helped Pat with farming and businesses and stayed involved with the activities of their children. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lillian passed on February 5, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons: Don and Charles.
She is survived by a son Terry Allen, a daughter, Wanda (Larry) Myers, two granddaughters: Chelsey (Todd) Pettus and Amber (Nathan) Parrick and three great-grandsons: Kaden, Preston and Jase.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the Caldwell High School Alumni Association and left in care of the mortuary.

My sympathy to the family. I spent many a night at Pat and Lillians house in Caldwell during the 50s. I was always treated with kindness. May you always remember the love they gave.

Wanda, Terry, I just found out of your mom's passing Saturday. Karna informed me that she had attended te funeral. I am so sorry to hear of this, but I lost my mom last september and I realize that sometimes death can be a blessing for the elderly in poor health. We still hate to give them up. God be with you folks ad I'll be thinking of you.
