Bonnie was born February 28, 1929 southwest of Caldwell, KS in Grant County, Oklahoma at the home of her parents, Lennie and Mildred McAdams Oathout. She passed away October 19, 2020 at the Wakita Community Care Home, Wakita, Oklahoma, where she chose to make her home the last several years of her life at the age of 91. She lived in Grant County entire her life. She was a CHS graduate and loved attending her class events and Homecoming.
She married Frankie Skrdla November 17th, 1949. They lived on a farm southeast of Renfrow where they engaged in farming wheat land. Frankie died October 2, 1997 from a farming accident They had 2 sons, Wayne and Glen. Glen passed away July 28, 1975 due to an unknown disease of the heart muscle. Wayne, his wife Rhonda and grandson, Zack live in the Norman, Oklahoma area
In later years of her life she became a “special” nurse and worked at the Caldwell Hospital for many years, she loved working there, loved caring for her patients, so much so she called them the “flowers in her life”.
She is survived by her son Wayne, wife Rhonda and grandson Zack, nieces and nephew and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Rosemound Cemetery in Medford, Oklahoma.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Cadet Lawmen Academy and sent in care of the mortuary.
Visitation will be held 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

As a kid I used to be good friends with Bonnies son “Glen”. I spent the night a lot of times. Bonnie was always taking care of everyone and everything. She never complained and never said a harsh word. She was the nicest person.
She will be extremely missed.
