Adoracion M. “Dorie” Busch passed away on July 6, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on June 1, 1966 to Pedro Masinsin and Gloria Queva in the Philippines.
Dorie had many talents, but painting was her best. She painted many murals and created textured walls that looked exactly like marble when she was finished.
When Kimberly was growing up, Dorie worked at Disney World. She portrayed many different characters and had different jobs while working there. It wasn’t until Kimberly grew a little bit more that Dorie told her the secret that the characters were just people in costumes.
Family was important to Dorie. She enjoyed being able to visit with her family in the Philippines and also spending time with her family here. Dorie was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking large meals for the entire family. Dorie’s grandchildren were the highlight of her life, she was always telling someone how she loved them. When the grandkids were with her, they could usually be found listening to music and dancing.
Dorie is preceded in death by her parents and other family members.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Rowley and husband James; and grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee, Carter, and Adalynn. She is also survived by her extended family in the Philippines and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Schaeffer Mortuary in Caldwell, Kansas.
