March 29, 1925 ~ May 13, 2014
Eldon Ray Hansen, 89, of Wichita, Kansas went home to be with our gracious Lord on May 13, 2014. He was born March 29, 1925 in Dacoma, OK to John & Hazel Hansen. Eldon attended NWOSU in Alva, OK and served his country honorably in the Army Air Force. While farming in SE Colorado, he met and married Doris Yates on November 4, 1950. Later, he worked as an aircraft mechanic at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. He purchased land near South Haven where he farmed, raised cattle and was a loving father to two daughters, Lori (Wes) Lane of Oklahoma City and Betty (Butch) McCain, Grand Junction, CO. Doris was killed in an auto accident in 1980 and shortly thereafter Eldon moved back to Wichita Kansas. Eldon was blessed with two grandchildren, Augusta and Mac McCain. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold, and a sister, Lucille.
Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery, South Haven, Kansas.
Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Prairie Winds, 8300 N. May in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Memorials may be given in Eldon's name to the Autumn Bridge Hospice, 3500 NW 39th St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112.

Dearest Lori and Betty--
My heartfelt condolences to you both in this time of loss. Just now found out about your dad's passing or my mom and I would have been at his services. I have many memories of your dad and his farming. Bless you both....our prayers are with you.
