Through the years I enjoyed my friendship with Evelyn very much. She helped me keep track of the Bobek family history. What a strong person she was. She has touched many lives. My condolences to all the family members in Kansas and California.

Every time I saw my great grandma from the time I was five I remember my mom saying "go say goodbye to grandma, this may be the last time you see her" then when I became a mom and my kids were old enough I said the same thing to them. Eventually they just laughed like I did and thought she would always be around. I received the call this morning that she passed away in her sleep at the wise old age of 107. What an amazing life she had. I'm not going to be able to make the trip to California to see her put to rest, but I know even with her passing a part of her lives on and she will always be remembered.
