May 18, 1931 ~ September 20, 2016
Frank David Weems, 52, mechanic for Central Auto Repair and Electric of Wichita, died Tuesday evening, September 20, 2016, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Frank was born on May 18, 1964 in Anaheim, CA to Mildred (Saltz) and Mickey Weems. Frank was welcomed by his sister Mary and brother Larry.
He married Coleen Williams to which one child was born, David Weems.
He married Cindy Weitzel in 1985 and had three children; Bryan, Amanda and Timmy. The family moved to Caldwell, Kansas following the birth of their last child.
Later Frank moved to Anthony, Kansas and married Debbi Hurst, and to this union one child was born, Kalen Weems.
After leaving Anthony, Frank moved to Wichita and worked at several places but knowledge and love for the automotive business always led him going back to the auto repair industry. Frank treated his customers as family and in return they trusted him with their cars. Employers included Midas and PepBoys but AutoSmart was always considered home. That could be credited to him being able to work alongside one of his good friends. Due to health issues Frank left AutoSmart in 2016.
Deciding that he wanted to go back to work Frank started at Central Auto Repair in September but was only able to work a couple days before going back into the hospital.
Frank was always the jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone especially if it was about California or the Kansas City Chiefs. Frank was their biggest fan and has a collection of Chiefs memorabilia to prove it. He also had a special love for the Angels. He made friends wherever he went and held those friendships very close.
Frank is survived by his mother, Mildred Weems of Anthony, Ks., his children Bryan (Kelsey) Weems of Caldwell, Ks. , Amanda Spencer of Caldwell, Ks., Timmy (Priscilla) Weems and Kalen Weems of Derby, Ks., one sister; Mary (Edward) Whitaker and one brother Larry Jackson all of Anthony Ks. , 4 grandchildren; Wyatt and Addyson Spencer and Zoe and Emily Weems, several nieces and nephews and great aunts and uncles.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Side Pockets, located at 600 Tyler Ct #222, Wichita Ks 67209. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Franks life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the donor’s choice.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to Frank's family. Myself and my husband grew up on his jokes and always loved joking around with him. He was one of my best friends uncles when he was married to debbi and was always a riot to be around. God bless you Frank, now you can hopefully start pulling some strings for your chief's from heaven.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Frank's family. Though we did not spend a lot of time with him, the one thing we will remember is Frank's laughter. He enjoyed life and that shone through always. Love to you all.
