Fred Haynes


June 21, 1944 ~ December 21, 2017


Freddie Junior Haynes, 73, passed away at home on December 21, 2017. He was born June 21, 1944 at Stratford, Texas to Marvin D. and Nina (Paige) Haynes.


On Feb. 14, 1964, he married Patsy Moler at Buffalo, Ok. Fred had been on dialysis since 2007, when he retired from the lumber yard and on his off time, he did yard work for others.


He was preceded in death by his parents in 1979 and sister Viola May in 2015.


Survivors include his wife Patsy; one son Freddie D. Haynes and his wife Reanna; one daughter Brenda Williams; brother Marvin L. (Mary) Haynes all of Anthony; two sisters: Helen Duran of Larned, KS and Nellie Johnson of California; five grandchildren: Linda, Lacey, Joe, David and Jaryd; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews.


Fred also had a second family: friends that were like family. They were the Brake family and Monique Romo who was like a daughter.


Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Revolution Fellowship Church, 408 N. Santa Fe, Anthony, Kansas. Pastor Kent Olds will officiate. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Anthony, Kansas.


Memorials may be given in memory of Fred to the Fred Haynes Memorial to help with funeral expenses and may be mailed or left in care of the mortuary.


Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Schaeffer Mortuary Chapel.

Freddie was our brother in every way that counted, he was a great guy and certainly will be missed, he had a heart of gold. So sorry for Patsy and the rest of the family for their loss.
