Georgia Neal

August 7, 1937 ~ December 6, 2019

Georgia (Tomasek) Neal, age 82, of Caldwell, Kansas, died Friday, December 6, 2019 at Wellington Health and Rehab Center in Wellington, Kansas. Georgia was born August 7, 1937 in Anthony, Kansas, the daughter of George and Velma Tomasek.

Georgia graduated from Caldwell High School in Caldwell, Kansas. She married Bill Neal Jr. April 26, 1957 in Caldwell, Kansas. Georgia was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church where she served as the worship leader for many years.

It is very rare to find someone with as big of a heart as Georgia. When she loved, she loved deeply. She always put others before herself. Georgia never failed to bring peace and happiness to those around her. She embodied the definition of Christ-like love. She loved her husband, Bill, her children, Jeff, Susan, and Jay, and her eight grandchildren with all her heart. Never was there a soul that could bring warmth to a room quite like Georgia did. She had an infectious laugh. Her eyes only saw the goodness in others. In the midst of trials and tribulations, Georgia’s faith in the Lord never wavered.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Velma Tomasek; husband Bill Neal Jr.; sisters Lucy Ashley and Maxine Carver.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Neal and wife Kim of Hinsdale, Illinois, Susan Cook and the late Grady Cook of Johnson, Kansas, Jay Neal and wife Yvette of Wellington, Kansas; grandchildren, MacKinzie Neal, Michaela Neal, Maclain Neal, Leanne Neal, Josie Cook, MaKinna Neal, Kaylene Neal, and Wyatt Cook.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Central Christian Church in Caldwell.

Memorials may be given in memory of Georgia to the First Baptist Church and may be left in care of the mortuary.

Anna Louise Kuc... - 12/11/2019

I am so sorry to learn of Georgias passing. We were second cousins with her being 1 year older than me. Growing up our families had so many great times together. My dad, Lewis Kuchar, was a brother to Georgia's grandmother, Lucy Kuchar Tomasek. We always loved each other even though we didn't see each other very often in these later years. I am sad to realize she is gone from this earth, but happy she is in a wonderful place now.

My love and sympathy to her family,

Anna Louise Kuchar Kucera

Georgia’s family

Jeanie Crittenden - 12/11/2019

We were just notified of Georgia’s passing. Your mother was such a dear friend to us & we came to visit her every time when we came to Wellington. She was a beautiful woman inside & out - my late mother told Georgia once that she looked just like Elizabeth Taylor - & Georgia thought was pretty special. We worked together at First National Bank for many years & was honored to be her coworker & her friend. She had such a strong faith & spiritual presence with others on a daily basis. We will miss her lovely personality but rejoice that she is now with Bill & her Savior, Jesus Christ. Have a wonderful first Christmas in Heaven , dear friend!

Lewis E Kuchar JR - 12/16/2019

Some of my fondest memories as a child was getting together with family at Caldwell during the fair and on Memorial Day. Seeing George and Georgia Ann was at the top of list for these visits. I know that dad was very fond of Georgia Ann. Even though dad was between Maxine and Lucy in age, we got to see Georgia Ann more. I leave you with my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. Lewis E Kuchar Jr.
