Henry “Hank” V. Buresh, passed away on May 24, 2026 at the age of 84. He was born on November 4, 1941 to Henry and Winifred "Peggy" (Bradfield) Buresh.
Hank was born and raised in Caldwell, Kansas, graduating from Caldwell High School in 1959. After high school, he began working for Simplex Time Recorder, servicing fire alarms and security systems for 43 years.
On November 16, 1963, he married Madonna B. (Bucheit) and together they had six children. She passed away on February 24, 2007. After the passing of Madonna, Hank met Grace (Carballo) Blum, whom he later married on August 17, 2012.
He is survived by his wife Grace; children Bradley Buresh of Augusta, Denise Loomis of Wichita, Madonna (Cliff) Smith of Clearwater, Chad (Katie) Buresh of Wichita, and Wendy Prue of Wichita; step-children Elizabeth (Lee) Cuckson of Castle Rock, CO, and Mary Anne (Donnie) Morton of Decatur, AL; siblings Phyllis (Norman) James of Caldwell, Betty (Dave) Schmidt of Caldwell, Janice (John) Cottle of Enid, OK, David (Jeneane) Buresh of Cheyenne, WY, Phillip Buresh of Wichita, Teresa (Kurt) Johnson of Goddard, and Sarah (Tom) Yunker of Caldwell; as well as 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Hank was preceded in death by his first wife Madonna, brother Steve Buresh, son Todd Buresh, son-in-law Mike Prue, grandson Tyler Loomis, and granddaughter Nicola Cuckson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and the Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm, Friday, May 29, 2026, at Christ the King, 4411 W. Maple St., Wichita.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Christ the King, 4411 W. Maple St., Wichita. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Rd., Wichita. Please join the family at Christ the King School Cafeteria for a luncheon immediately following the interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, and Christ the King Catholic Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
