Janet Vandruff passed away at the age of 60, on September 22, 2020 at Springview Manor in Conway Springs, Kansas following a struggle with cancer. Janet Elaine Clow was born September 14, 1960 in Caldwell, Kansas to Alfred and Harriett Clow. She attended Caldwell High School and later obtained her GED.
Growing up Janet’s mother would purchase tickets to Joyland for the family. Janet liked playing games such as Wahoo and Monopoly and growing herb gardens. Janet like to ride bikes with her sister Linda and running around the house driving her mom nuts.
Janet was united in marriage with Claude Vandruff on December 27, 1977 and they enjoyed 43 wonderful years together. She loved her two daughters, Aimee and Stephanie. They enjoyed fishing, camping and hiking together.
She taught herself to crochet doilies out of sewing thread and would enter them into the county fair. She would sometimes make up her own designs and she also taught her daughter Stephanie to crochet. Janet would give some of the doilies away as Christmas gifts.
Janet was full of life and enjoyed going on trips with her family to California to see her cousins or to Arkansas to see her Grandma Clow. She also enjoyed going to Arkansas City to see her mother’s friend Imagene.
She worked for many years at the grocery store in Caldwell, formerly owned by the late Karl and Linda Willey and lastly owned by Jeff and Jacque Ediger, until she became to ill to continue working.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Aimee; brothers Byron Clow and Verl Clow; grandparents Everett and Vera Davis and her grandmother Pearl Clow.
She is survived by her husband Claude, daughter Stephanie, sister Linda Messing, brother LeRoy Clow and other relatives and friends.
Private family services will be held on Friday.
Visitation will be held 8-5 Wednesday & Thursday and 8-1 on Friday.
Memorials may be made in care of Schaeffer Mortuary to help with funeral expenses.

So sorry for your loss Claude and Stephanie I worked with Janet for about five years when the grocery store was Karl's Janet was a sweet woman funny woman and a caring woman she loved talking to the customers and helping to carry out their groceries she always had a smile on her face she was a very hard-working woman and she will be missed by everyone keeping you both in my prayers
