Jordyn Denae Swift, 31, passed away January 27, 2026, in Wichita, KS.

Jordyn was born November 8, 1994, in Liberal, KS. As a young girl she enjoyed travelling with her Papa, Dennis Thompson, and Lesta. They were regular visitors to Branson, MO, taking in the shows. She was on stage many times as a volunteer, sometimes by herself and other times with other families.

Besides Branson, her travels with her Papa took her and her Momma to places such as the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas, NV. Her favorite adventures on the trips were finding and riding as many roller coasters as they could find. On one occasion, she and her Momma enjoyed riding one roller coaster 13 times in one afternoon.

She learned to swim at a very young age and enjoyed being in the water. Whether it be a pool, pond, river, or lake, she jumped in and had the time of her life.

Jordyn had many friends while growing up. She and Kristy Blair Kleba were Besties from Birth. They spent as much time as possible together and could entertain themselves for hours. Jordyn’s parents caught her running away at least three times to go live at “Kisty and Jenny’s house.” Even after a move across Kansas the two girls stayed friends for life.

Moving to a new town was hard for Jordyn, but she eventually found friends and made lots of fun memories. She was always known for standing up for and defending the underdog. She loved her pets, especially Dottie, her little Dachshund who claimed her at the rescue shelter.

Jordyn is survived by the loves of her life, her children. Jude, Kinslie, Jasiah, and Emery. She is also survived by her mother, Staci Thompson Schmidt of Caldwell and step-father Shane Schmidt of Caldwell; and her two brothers Colt and Cord Schmidt whom she loved deeply; her uncle and aunt, Shad and Amanda Thompson of St. Augustine, FL; her uncle, Dean Swift of Arizona; her grandmother, Gayle Thompson of Conway Springs, KS; her step-grandparents, Mark and Kathy Schmidt of Caldwell; her great aunts, uncles and cousins, some through marriage; and many other beloved relatives, friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Swift; grandparents Jewell and Kay Swift and Dennis Thompson; and an uncle and aunt, Joe and Kim Randolph.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Sugar Sisters, 20 S. Main, Caldwell, Kansas.  A private ceremony will take place in Matfield Green, KS, where she will be buried with her father and grandparents.

Memorials may be made to Oxford House or to House of Hope and sent in care of the mortuary.
