Judy McCall


June 1, 1940 ~ March 8, 2018


Judith Kay McCall passed in Wichita, Kansas on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born on June 1, 1940 to Dale and June Foust in Winfield, Kansas. She attended Cedar Vale Schools and graduated in 1958. On September 6, 1958 she married James David McCall. They spent over fifty years farming and ranching in the Cedar Vale area. They raised three children, Melinda, Jeff and Mark. Judy worked for the Cedar Vale hospital, the City of Cedar Vale, and Western Feed Mill. After moving to Caldwell in 2009 Judy became an active member of the Caldwell Community. She has served several years as a board member for the Caldwell Senior Center and enjoyed her time as a Drury Stars, the Birthday Breakfast Club and recently the Red Hatters.


Judy had so many wonderful friends in Caldwell and Cedar Vale. She cherished each and every one of the memories she made with them. Judy was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would never miss and opportunity to share pictures and stories of them.


Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, son Jeff and grandchild Lucas David Young. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Neal and husband Marc of Caldwell; son, Mark McCall and wife Gloria; grandchildren Clayton Young and wife Bridgette, Kristopher Young and wife Jill, Jake McCall, Clay Neal and wife Jennifer, Chris Kasson and husband Mark; great- grandchildren, Adella and Easton Young, Ian Young, Laynie May Kasson and Mayci, Maddie and Mollie Neal.


Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Caldwell, Kansas. Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedar Vale Cemetery, Cedar Vale, Kansas.


Memorials may be given in memory of Judy to the Caldwell Senior Center, Caldwell United Methodist Church or to Cedar Vale Schools and left in care of the mortuary.

Was so sorry to hear of Judy's passing. I met Judy and Jim when they moved to Caldwell. I was working at Karl's grocery store and your dad was such a character and your mom was just a beautiful woman got to know them both very well and I missed your dad when he passed since I don't live in Caldwell anymore I know Judy will be missed by everyone there she was loved by a lot of people I will keep
