Judy Neal



Judy Ann Neal was born on June 18, 1946 to Reverend Eugene and Shirley (Crites) Skaggs in Deer Creek, Oklahoma. Judy went to Wellington High School and graduated with the Class of 1964.


Over the years she worked at the South Haven Friendship Meals and Bank of Commerce in South Haven. Judy started working at the Wellington, Kansas Walmart and then transferred to Grove, Oklahoma followed by Blackwell, Oklahoma; working in many different departments. Judy retired after 30 years at Walmart.


Judy married Dale Neal on February 28, 1992. They spent many happy years in Grove, watching the wildlife at night, fishing and being with family. They moved back to Blackwell in 2000 to help care for Judy’s parents, and spent many years being a caregiver for her mother.


Judy and Dale later moved to Braman in 2013, where they enjoyed retirement. Over the past few years Judy enjoyed going garage saling, spending time with her children and their families. She enjoyed taking care of her many cats.


Judy was a breast cancer survivor and battled other health problems. She passed away on June 4, 2023 in Wichita, Kansas.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Eugene and Shirley Skaggs, husband, Dale Neal, and granddaughter, Mackenzie Pryce.


Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Adamson and her fiancé, Earl of Geary, Oklahoma, Sharon Pryce and her husband, Kevin of Wellington, Kansas, Paula Lattimer and her husband, Eugene of Hunnewell, Kansas, two stepsons, Marty Neal of Caldwell, Kansas and Jeff Neal of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Larry Skaggs and his wife Candy of Nash, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren, Stephanie, Mersadise, Krystal, Matthew, Emma, Jon, Kyle, Kari, Klayton, Kelsey, Cooper, and several great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Braman United Methodist Church, 120 Eaton Ave, Braman, OK 74632.

Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, South Haven, Kansas.


Memorials may be made to the Wellington Humane Society and sent in care of the mortuary.
