Kurt Alexander Weber, 64, of

May 23, 2956 - January 1, 2021

Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at William Newton Hospital.


Born May 23, 1956 in Connecticut, he was the son of Damon and Patricia (Frazier) Weber. He was raised and received his education in Caldwell, Kansas, graduating from Caldwell High School. He later attended Cowley County Community College where he received an associate degree in Police Science. Kurt began his career in law enforcement working for the Caldwell Police Department.


Kurt was united in marriage to Regena White on June 2, 1989 in Sulfer, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Winfield where Kurt began his career with the Winfield Police Department. He remained with the Winfield Police Department for over 22 years, retiring in 2012. After retirement, Kurt went to work for Cowley County Youth Services and in 2017, began working as an investigator with the Department of Child and Family Services. He retired a second time in March of 2020. He attended Tisdale United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on cars and tractors.


His family includes his wife Regena Weber of Winfield; his daughters, Shawna Hauck and husband, Justin of Topeka; Angelic Weber of Arkansas City; Emily Weber-Jones of Caldwell; his mother Patricia Weber of Caldwell; his brother Stephen Weber of Arkansas; his sisters, Gretchen Weber of Caldwell; Becky Kretchmar of Caldwell; Erika Weber-Sprinkle of Wichita; and his grandson Tyler Weber.


Kurt was preceded in death by his father, Damon Weber.


Following Kurt’s wishes, cremation has been effected and no services will be held.


Memorials may be made to the Caldwell Police Department, and sent in care of Schaeffer Morrtuary, or to Sunlight Childrens Home (SCARF) 1918 N. Prairie Creek, Andover, KS 67002.
