Lois Gene (Leyerly) Morris, 93, went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2019, in Clearwater, KS. She was born on August 24, 1925 in Caldwell, Kansas to Clarence Leyerly and Maude (Leslie) Leyerly. She was the youngest of three children; June Ellen (Leyerly) Strevel and Dean Leslie Leyerley.
Lois attended Caldwell Grade School and Caldwell High School in Caldwell, Kansas and attended North High School in Wichita, Kansas.
Lois married Leonard Morris on June 20, 1942 in Caldwell, Kansas. After marriage they resided in Wichita, Kansas. They farmed land near Gueda Springs, Kansas and Elk City, Kansas. They later purchased a home in Andover, Kansas where they resided until retirement. Upon retirement for several years they enjoyed traveling the United States in their fifth wheel. They eventually sold their fifth wheel and settled in Wellington, Kansas and in 2006 moved back to Wichita, Kansas.
Lois and Leonard were loving parents to four children: Edwin Dean (Sharyn), Larry Gene (Charla), Linda Kay, and Steven Keith (Denise). Lois had ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Leonard, and one son Steven.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Caldwell City Cemetery in Caldwell, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.
