Marjorie Moss

Marjorie “Marge” Jane Moss, of Derby, KS died March 18, 2023. Marjorie was born June 2, 1929 in Arkansas City, KS to Mahlon and Grace Reck. They precede her in death, along with her only sibling, Madelyn Johnson.

Marjorie was raised in Caldwell, Kansas, graduating with the Class of 1947. Shortly after graduation she married Harold Moss with whom she welcomed three children: Linda, David, and Brad. The family moved to Derby in 1964. Marjorie worked as a data analyst for the Boeing Corporation for many years before retiring in 1991. She was a valued employee who was known for her positive personality and keeping meticulous files. She continued working as a model home hostess part time until 2015.

After being single for almost 35 years, she married Jack Glatt in 2004, who passed several years later, but not before they shared many adventures.

She made life more beautiful, whether it be her smile, fashion, home decor, flower gardens, or the grace and compassion she showed to others. Her greatest love was her family who she cared and concerned for until the very end. Although we will miss her and life will never be the same, we cherish the memories and will hold them near in our grief.

Survivors include her children Linda Graham, David (Cindy) Moss, Bradley Moss, all of Derby; Grandchildren Shane (Amber) Graham, Keesha (Edward) Esqueda, Haylee (Tom) Buck, Branden Moss, and Jonathan Moss; Great-grandchildren Faith, Lucky, Shye, Kilee, Talia, and Rhett; Nieces & Nephews: Robin Johnson, Gloria (George) Marcus, and Rex (Bethany) Johnson; Great-niece: Megan (Gareth) Rohr. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Caldwell City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Caldwell Historical Society and sent in care of the mortuary.
