Mark L. Watsek

October 7, 1975 ~ January 26, 2015

Mark Lloyd Watsek was born to Lloyd and Margaret Watsek on October 7, 1975 in Wakita, OK.

He grew up with an older sister Laura, and younger brother Andrew. He graduated Medford High School, where he discovered his passion for welding, music and art. Mark has always loved music; he enjoyed playing the piano and drums. He was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corp. of Illinois, which traveled around the United States. He was a talented piano player and could reproduce a song by simply listening to the tune. Not only was he a talented musician, he was also an excellent artist whose artwork was admired by many. After High School, he attended Tulsa Welding School where he graduated as a welding specialist. After school he traveled all over the United States as a Journeyman welder working on various projects which included: Fermilab Particle Accelerator, various Gas and Chemical plants, and Microchip factories. Upon his parents request, he returned home to help with the farming responsibilities. Mark did not like to be idle, in addition to tending the cattle and farming the land, he wanted further opportunities to utilize his welding talent. He and his friend Cory Frieouf decided to start a business together called Renfrow Repair. Together they traveled the countryside repairing equipment, buildings and various other farm related items. In addition to repair, he later began constructing farm and ranch equipment. He had a love for animals and his greatest companions were his dog Scout and his new puppy Dozer. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, camping, and gardening.

Mark passed away on January 26, 2015. He is survived by his parents Lloyd and Margaret Watsek; sister, Laura Watsek Armentano (and her spouse Matthew Armentano and their four children Nicholas, Jessica, Jacob and Isaiah) from Georgetown, KY; brother, Andrew Watsek from Dallas, TX; grandmother, Tiny Mae Turney from Ocean Springs, MS; aunt, Marilyn Turney from Ocean Springs, MS; uncle, Milton Turney ( and his spouse Esther Turney) from Robertsdale, AL, cousins, Shelley Archbold (and her spouse David ) from Ocean Springs, MS; Shane Henson (and his spouse Janet) from Kansas, OK; and Matthew Turney ( and his spouse Brooke) from Daphne, AL.

Lloyd, Margaret, Laura, Andrew, Scout and family~

Mark was one of my favorite people. We began a friendship that started 20 years ago, one that forever changed my life. He was a soft-hearted, misunderstood, romantic soul. I enjoyed our many years of conversations and that he shared with me so many feelings in his last months. He was an incredible friend in my hard times and struggles. I hope he is at peace.

May God keep you all in the palm of his hands.

~~Love Kyane
