Mary Lou Rohrbaugh


November 10,1936 ~ January 8, 2018


Mary Louise Batman Rohrbaugh, the second of four children, was born on November 10, 1936 to Harold Gilbert and Naoma Belle Barton Batman at Ingalls, Kansas. Mary Lou passed from this earth at her home on January 8, 2018 at the age of 81.


Mary Lou married the love of her life, Charles Ross Rohrbaugh on August 23, 1954 in Ingalls, KS. To this union four children were born. Mary Lou and Charlie moved to Caldwell, KS in June of 1958, where they raised their family. Mary Lou enjoyed every minute of her time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.


Until her retirement in 2015, Mary Lou was a medical assistant for the Caldwell Family Clinic. She enjoyed being a nurse and helping people. She loved all the children that came into the clinic. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, arts and crafts.


Mary Louise was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by daughters and their husbands, Valorie and Gaylen Reedy of Caldwell, KS and Cynthia and David Moss of Derby, KS; son and fiancé, Michael Rohrbaugh and Lola Patton of Caldwell, KS; son, Greg Rohrbaugh of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Gordon Batman of Garden City, KS and Robert Batman of Ozawkie, KS; sister Connie Janzen of Kinsley, KS; eight grandchildren, Brandel Williamson and Curtis Hearnsberger, Wyatt Reedy, Nicholas Reedy, Courtney Rohrbaugh and Michael Newel, Haylee and Tom Buck, Whitney and Verna Rohrbaugh, Brandon Moss, and Jonathan Moss; seven great-grandchildren, Miles, Kailyn, Hadley, Emma, Ava, Kilee, and one on the way.


She will also be missed by lots of family, friends, second family and past co-workers.


Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2017 at the Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas.


Family will receive friends after the graveside at the fair building in Caldwell.


Memorials may be given in memory of Mary Lou to the Sumner County Hospital District #1 and may be left in care of the mortuary.

rest in peace old buddy and friend... we go back so far.... raised our kids together..... was room mothers for Val and Tess. worked at hospital and cinic to gether all those years... our last visit we talked about all this..... i will miss you ... love louise VAL.
