Randy Morris

In Loving Memory of our Brother, Randall “Randy” Wade Morris

Born on July 23, 1959, Randy passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, surrounded by his family, in Tulsa, Oklahoma; he was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Randy was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Roberta Morris, and a brother, Douglas John.

Randy is survived by his older brother Lowry Morris and his wife Dana of Wichita, Kansas; his younger brother Todd Morris and his wife Lynn of Acworth, Georgia; his younger brother Rodney Morris and his husband Dean Emmons of Portland, Oregon; and his younger sister Jennie Wade of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Randy was a proud and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Randy graduated from Medford High School Cardinal Class of 1976, a year early with his older brother, Lowry. He then earned his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University in 1980. Randy spent most of his professional career working for companies in the oil and gas industry, including Koch Oil, Champion High Tech Manufacturing, and Kinder Morgan.

Though single, his heart was full of his passion for family history. Randy was the cherished family historian, with a remarkable knack for knowing and sharing long-forgotten family adventures. He loved to drive through the countryside, reminiscing about days gone by and sharing stories with those around him. Randy was also known for his knowledge of both Medford and Grant County’s history.

Randy’s memory will be cherished by his family and all who knew him. His love for his family, along with his dry wit and humor, will be remembered fondly. He is missed.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the St. Mary Catholic Church in Medford, Oklahoma and sent in care of the mortuary.
