As I am writing this, I think back to my childhood and realize that your mom was the very last of the "farm families" out west, from that time. I hope you know how very much she was loved by her neighbors. My prayers go out to you and the families now and in the days that are to come.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Rita. So many memories of summers spent on the farm and her awesome lunches and snacks brought out to the field! I was always impressed with how she was able to handle two jobs; full-time school teacher and full-time farm wife. She always had a smile and that made hard days much easier to handle. Thoughts and prayers out to you and your family at this time of loss.
