Richard “Rick” Ginn, 55, of Littlefield went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, June 25, 2023 in Littlefield. He was born July 28, 1967 in Wellington, Kansas to Marvin and Anne Jackson Ginn.
Rick grew up on a farm, and always loved agriculture and being outside. He graduated from Caldwell High School and then attended KSU, where he majored in Feed Sciences. He was an avid K State fan and bled purple. He married Tammy Mullens on December 30, 1989 on campus at Danforth Chapel in Manhattan, Kansas. Rick was talented, he and his wife operated ‘Twisted Wood’ and handcrafted tailgate benches for Coyote Candle Company in Lubbock. He was handy and could fix anything. Rick enjoyed taking his grandchildren on tractor and motorcycle rides and enjoyed growing a large garden. He was a huge animal lover and took in many strays and loved his four-legged children, Teddy, Lacy, Popo, Kimber and Wither. More than anything, he adored his family, especially his grandchildren, who called him “Papa”. He was a man of faith and loved his church family.
Rick is survived by his wife Tammy Ginn of Littlefield; a daughter, Caitlin Nicole Davis and husband Aaron of Littlefield; a son, Ryan Thomas Ginn and wife Christalin of Norfolk, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Aria Ginn, Lilah Ginn, Dani Davis, Dallas Davis and Dean “Peanut” Davis; his mother, Anne Ginn of Caldwell, Kansas; two sisters, Cheryl Wooderson of Emporia, Kansas and Shirley Henton and husband C.L. of Council Grove, Kansas; a brother, Bob Ginn and wife Carolyn of Caldwell, Kansas; several nieces and nephews, and other extended family members.
Services to celebrate the life of Rick will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday July 3, 2023 at Littlefield Methodist Church with Rev. Angela Carter officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
