December 30, 1947 ~ January 18, 2020
Roger Dale Stoddard was born on December 30, 1947 in Redding , California to William and Kathleen (Brewer) Stoddard. He passed from this life on January 18, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was surrounded by his family and showered in love during his final moments.
He served in the US Navy from 1967-1973 and proudly defended our country in Vietnam. He served aboard the USS Constellation. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service medal.
He was a man of few words, but his family and friends always knew the deep love he had for them. He enjoyed working in the garden, fishing, hunting, and absolutely anything outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years of marriage, Dedrah Stoddard of Enid. Daughters, Tiffany Elmore and grandkids Madison and Jace Elmore; Ashley Wilson, son-in-law Jesse Wilson and grandkids Scarlett and Leia Wilson; Stacie Stoddard and grandkids Ian, Elijah and Josiah Stoddard. Sister, Faye Henry and brother-in-law Jim Henry. Nephew, Albert Stoddard Jr and wife Carolyn; niece, April Rincon, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen and dad William, brother Albert Sr., niece Sandra Hunter, and brother-in-law Rodney Bruy.
Services will be at 11am on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Schaeffer Mortuary in Caldwell. Casual dress is requested.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors, or Springdale Cemetery with Schaeffer Mortuary serving as custodian.
