I enjoyed visiting with Sally at Lamont basketball games. We kicked the smoking habit about the same time, and we would make sure that the other one was still able to resist. As far as I know, we both have not smoked for almost 5 years.
Sally was such a pleasant lady with a gorgeous smile greeting everyone she met.
Sally, I will see you one day, and we can pick up where we left off.
Love and condolences going out to the entire family,
Oma Lea Rogers

As a child, living only a couple of miles away and being childhood friends with Lea Ann, I have many fond childhood memories of Sally... She had a beautiful heart and a very contagious laugh. The world will miss you!

Please accept my sincere sympathy. It's hard to know the words to say......I just lost my Mother on Thanksgiving Day.......I know how difficult this journey is. Please know though that my thoughts are with you all, and my prayers are being lifted up on the wings of angels for peace and comfort for each of you during this time.

Sally and I were more than cousins, we were like sisters, when we were little we even lived in the same house. We loved to go to Vegas, I never won but she did and we talked on the phone at least once a week.
She was so much fun, so kind and so generous. I will think of her every day for the rest of my life.

Today is June 21, 2013, and while looking online for Sally Werneke fro genealogy purposes, I came across her obituary. Sally was a first cousin to my mother, Virginia 'Weaver' Parker. I heard so much about Sal while growing up. Mom died in August 2011. It makes me smile thinking about Ginny Waleesa & Sally Wenona being together once again with their folks.
