Shelby Renea Sanders, 21, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died January 4, 2014 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She was born the daughter of James Paul Sanders and Pauline Jean Chama, September 17, 1992 at Wellington, Kansas.
Shelby spent part of her childhood in Caldwell, Kansas before her family moved to Horton, Kansas and then to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in December of 2009.
Shelby loved playing softball as a youngster and then enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball as she grew older. Family was important to her and her motto was “Ohana”, which meant family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. True to this motto, when Felica moved into her own apartment Shelby was there buying furniture for her. She loved her mom and sister very much and her fiancé Jesse. She would help anyone who needed it.
When her son Kayden was born, her whole life changed and he became one of the most important things in her life.
Shelby is survived by her son, Kayden Terry of Bartlesville, OK; mother, Pauline Hopkins of Bartlesville, OK; sisters, Felica Sanders of Bartlesville, OK, Jennifer Waldorf of Arkansas City, KS; fiancé Jesse Terry of Bartlesville, OK; nephew, Terrell Sanders of Bartlesville, OK; father, James Sanders of Mulvane, KS; uncle Paul Chama, many aunties, uncles and cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Caldwell.
Memorials may be given in Shelby's name to the Shelby Sanders Memorial Fund in care of Bank First or Schaeffer Mortuary.

I went to the store with Crystal and her Aunt Elizabeth who was my wife! To get some meat for me to cook for Fri. eve. I had cooked chicken 1/4 for Shelby and her sis on special occasions, because that's what they wanted and liked! They fell in love with a marinade, not of my own but one I bought at the local Dollar Store which I'm sorry to say I could not find since it's closing! Have a marinade ur Aunt Libb picked out, hope all will like it! I always cherished the words when u called me uncle bob! I'll do my best for u girl! Love Uncle Bob!

My heart breaks for all of you at the tragic loss of Shelby. I didn't get to know her personally, but knowing both of you and how wonderful and special you are I know she was an Amazing and Wonderful person as well.
