Shirley Booth


October 24, 1930 ~ February 24, 2020

Shirley Mae (Lorio) Booth was born October 24, 1930, the daughter of Louis Guy and Elizabeth (Young) Lorio at Brooks, Louisiana. She was born into Eternal Life on February 24, 2020 at age 89.


Shirley loved her faith and her family and served both well in her daily activities. She loved to quilt, and lived out her faith by creating Pro-Life, and prayer quilts, as well as quilts for each of her children and grandchildren. She read her Bible daily, and this work was her prayer.


She was married to Jim Booth for 62 years and brought 3 daughters in the world, Bonnie, Nancy and Carol. Her legacy of prayerful work will be carried out in their lives, as well as the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Jim and daughter Carol Coufal.


She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Thomas and her husband Art, Nancy Davis and her husband Robert; son-in-law, Dennis Coufal; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.


Memorials may be given in memory of Shirley to the Caldwell Senior Center and left in care of the mortuary.


A Rosary service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2020 with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Nardin, Oklahoma.
