September 20, 1959 ~ February 12, 2012
Timothy Darrell Riddle was born the son of Carolyn Joyce and Darrell Thayer on Sunday, September 20, 1959 at 10:00 a.m. He was delivered at home by his mother and father. Tim weighed 9 pounds and was 22 inches long and took his first bottle when he was two hours old. Tim was a happy and healthy baby and was the apple of his dad’s eye and adored by his brother and sisters. He would grow up to be their mentor in later years.
He enjoyed playing Little League Baseball for many years with his uncle Jimmy as his coach. He loved the sport and also playing basketball and football. He attended Miamisburg High School and graduated with a GED.
Tim held a variety of jobs over the years. He worked for Manpower Inc. in Dayton, Ohio, 8th St. Board and Care, Denny’s and Bowne Motors in Beaumont, CA. He also worked at Jiffy Lub in Hemet, CA, Hamm Roofing in Dayton, OH and Rodriquez Flooring. Tim like to work on cars, especially detailing them. He attended San Jacinto College in San Jacinto, CA in 1996 and 1997.
He moved to Caldwell, Kansas in 2003 to be near his children.
Tim enjoyed life and was a joker. He was so funny, but the disease took a toll on him and he didn’t laugh and cut up like he was known to do. Tim fought the battle for six years. Tim was saved February 7, 2012. He died February 12, 2012 at the Sumner County District #1 Hospital in Caldwell. He was 52 years old.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Darrell, his grandfather Malcom Moore, grandmother Della Riddle, his aunt Erna Eversole, and grandmother Thelma Conner, his uncles Jim Miller, Louis Moore and Jimmy Moore.
He is survived by his mother Carolyn Joyce Rauch of Caldwell, KS; grandmother, Edna Clarice Moore of Dayton, Ohio; brother Roger Riddle (Della) of Dayton OH; sisters, Gail (Albert) of Landers, CA, Clarissa Jolene Rodriguez (Rudy) of Landers, CA, Priscilla Irene Fox-Rauch of Caldwell, KS; son, Timothy Riddle Bowie of CA; daughter Jacklynn Riddle Bowie of OK, Nicole Hernandes of Beaumont, CA, daughter Samantha Riddle of Caldwell, KS and son, Erik Riddle of Caldwell, KS; nephews, Josh Riddle of Dayton, OH, Robert Salgado, Jr. of Palm Springs, CA, Robert, Leland and Devon Ramos of Beaumont, CA; nieces, April (Andy), Lillie and Marissa Jones of Dayton, OH, Tisha and Amanda Robbins of Beaumont, CA, Carolyn Ramos of Beaumont, CA, Marion Fox of Caldwell, KS, Veronica Salgado of Beaumont, CA; cousins, Karen Speers of Miamisburg, OH, Russell Eldridge and Mark Eversole of Vicco, KY; aunt, Della (Kash) Strong of Miamisburg, OH; his special friend and mother of Sami Riddle and Erik Riddle, Ronda Hubbard; girlfriend cynthia Reta and son David Vega.
Tim had so many friends in California, Ohio and in Caldwell; too many to mention. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
It was Tim’s request that no services be held and a monument be set in the family plot at the cemetery in Vicco, KY. Thanks to Dr. Zayat and his staff, of Wichita, who did all they could and Hospice Care of Kansas for making Tim comfortable. All of their efforts were appreciated so much.
Pallbearers are Kash Strong, Mike Richardson, Robert Salgado, Sr., Rudy Rodriguez, Russell Eldridge and Jeff Wood. His honorary pallbearers are Josh Riddle, Robert Ramos, Leland Ramos, Devon Ramos, Mark Eversole and Jimmy Moore.

WE LOVED TIM SO VERY MUCH. HE WAS SO FUNNY, ALWAYS TELLING JOKES AND MAKING EVERYONE LAUGH. QUITE THE PRANKSTER AND PRACTICAL JOKER. TIM WANTED EVERYONE HAPPY & SMILING. HE ALSO HAD A BIG HEART. HE LOVED EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY HIS FAMILY. IF ANYONE NEEDED A HELPING HAND, YOU COULD COUNT ON TIM TO BE THERE FOR YOU. HE LIKED TO TAKE THINGS APART JUST TO SEE HOW THEY WORKED AND ALSO TO REPAIR THINGS. WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE & MISS TIM UNTIL THE DAY COMES THAT WE ARE REUNITED. HEAVEN HAS GAINED A VERY SPECIAL ANGEL.
