Velda Catherine Myers was born on December 12, 1927 in Bazine, Kansas to Frank and Rose Myers. She married Earl Williams and to that union three daughters were born, Nikki Lynn, Kathryn Yavonne and Tanya Lee. Following the passing of Earl; she married Ron Mardis on November 10, 1979. He had two grown children, Daniel Wayne and Dana Arlene.
Velda departed this life on July 12, 2013 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bernice and Francis and her daughters, Nikki and Kathryn.
She is survived by her husband Ron Mardis of the home; her sister Jacquelyn; daughters, Tanya Bybee (Steve), Dana Cox (Eric); grandchildren, Anissa Bedard, Ranay Baldwin (Jon), Nicole Brokelhurst (Mike), Josie Mardis, Kelly Baker (Kenny), Matthew Rome, Monica Rome, Ronnie Joe Mardis, Justin Mardis, Tammy Mardis and great grandchildren, Ethan Barnhart, Abigal Barnhart, Asher Sievers, Brycen Baker and Lorelie Brokelhurst.
Following cremation, private family services will be held at a later date.

Ronnie and Velda's families, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. We have lost such a wonderful woman. I was so happy to see my much loved Uncle find so much joy in life. I know that anything good that can be waiting for someone after their time on Earth, is certainly in store for Velda. You all have my condolences.
