June 7, 1937 ~ April 8, 2017
Saturday, April 8, 2017, Verla J. (Goodrick) Crow, 79, completed her role of loving and caring for others on earth as only one ordained by Christ can, transcended through the Gates of Glory, continuing her work in heaven. Verla’s love for Heavenly Father, family and friends, was most evident in her Christ-like love toward others. She was always available to listen, encourage, offer assistance, and pray for anyone she encountered. A living example of Matthew 5:5, “Blessed are the meek (translated: controlled strength), for they shall inherit the earth.”
She is survived by her children, Craig and Bonny Crow, Debrea and Rod Dukes, Ron and Nicki Crow, Will and Laura Crow; grandchildren, Chance & Tina Phillippi, Jarrett & Amanda Phillippi, Jason Dukes & Lisa Arterburn, Christina & Christopher Gonzales, Kevin Crow, Blaine, Tanner, Cade & Claire Crow, Nikolai, Katya, Elana & Aleksandr Crow; great grandchildren, Allyson, Avery & Annika Phillippi, Chase Phillippi, Kiera, Brooklyn, Tyra Jackson, Paisley Crow, Everleigh Gonzales (on her way); siblings, Merna Sanburn, Mervin & Loretta Goodrick, Donna Goodrick and many nieces and nephews.
Verla was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles; parents, Glenn and Gladys Goodrick; brother, Arlis Goodrick; sister, Glenda Fleming; in-laws, Weldon Fleming and Gerald Sanburn; nephew, Wesley, Sanburn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Central Christian Church, 206 N Market, Caldwell Ks, 67022. Dr. Dan Price will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Verla to the Rivercross Hospice and left in care of the mortuary.

To the family
LAVERNE CHAPMAN - 04/12/2017
I met Charlie and Verla at church and was welcomed with open arms being new to Caldwell 14 Years ago. I have never met someone as loving as Verla and that smile of hers made her eyes sparkle. I moved away last September and had kept in contact with her thru facebook. The love she and Charlie had was so special that they are celerbrating in Heaven. Verla will be truly missed by me and everyone who met her. She was a truly a special person and I loved her and Charlie. It broke my heart when I heard of her passing. All of you will be in my prayers. Wish I could be there for the services but I am just to far.

Ron, Nicki and family,
You have been on my heart in and my prayers all week. We love you and pray that the love of our Heavenly Father has been your rock and your comfort. What a sweet lady your mama was...such a blessing to all she met. I'm glad I got to spend an evening with her last fall...all she talked about was her sweet family. She loved you all so much!
with love,
Jayme
