Warren was born June 3, 1921 in Caldwell to Clayton Rohrer and Martha (King) Rohrer. He passed away January 24, 2017 in Wichita, KS at the age of 95.
Warren was raised on a farm in Caldwell with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters and later entered the U.S. Army Air Force serving with the 8th Air Force, 44th Bomb Group, 507th Squadron stationed in Shipdham, England where he was an Assistant Engineer Gunner on a B-24 and flew 30 missions during his service from August 1942 to September 1944. After his service, he returned to marry the love his life, Minnie Mull, on September 20, 1944. While raising their three children, Warren worked on oil rigs while he and Minnie also farmed and raised cattle until they retired to Wellington in 1990. Warren enjoyed traveling the world and visited Canada, England, France, China, Egypt, and Kenya.
He is survived by his son Mike Rohrer and wife Vicki, daughter Rita Grimes and daughter in law Linda Rohrer; grandchildren, Paul Grimes, Luke Grimes, Rochelle Rohrer, Tina Major, Tammy Benni, Lance Rohrer; great grandchildren, Ethan Christiansen, Caleb Christiansen, Sienna Smith, Riley Grimes, Reegan Grimes, KC Grimes, Kalyn Grimes, Austin Rohrer, Russel Rohrer, Aubrianna Rohrer, Austen Major, Eleanor Benni, Eldon Benni
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Rohrer and son, James Rohrer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Schaeffer Mortuary, Chapel, Caldwell, Kansas.
Memorials may be given in memory of Warren to the Kansas Heart Association and left in care of the mortuary.
