Grace Alberta Shaffer passed away on March 26, 2021 surrounded by her family at St. Teresa Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on December 31, 1938 to Jack and Angie Falkenberg. She worked as a waitress in her Aunt’s restaurant where she met the love of her life Joe Shaffer. A year later they were married on November 4, 1956 where she then stayed home to care for her 3 children Randy, Debbie and Dan while assisting Joe with the bookkeeping for the family business.
Marilyn Helen Zahn Burns (98) journeyed to rest in the arms of God on March 23, 2021, encircled by the love and attention of Sunflower Cottage/Sumner County Hospital District #1 staff, having received comfort care from Kindred Hospice staff. Dennis Alan Turek was born the second child to John and Anna Turek on June 5, 1955 in Wellington, Kansas.

Jerry L. Barnard was born August 21, 1936, to Blanche and Ralph Barnard. He died March 9, 2021, following a heart attack the previous day. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy McNees Barnard, 4 children, 8 grandchildren, & sister, Karen Crumbliss. Jerry retired as a CMSgt after serving 31 years in the US Air Force. Following cremation, burial will occur at a later date in the Caldwell Cemetery.
