Ronald Lee Mardis was born Sept, 18, 1937 in Bluff City, Kansas to LeRoy Oliver and Louise (Chamberlin) Mardis. He attended Anthony High School, graduating in the Class of 1956. He then went to WSU for two years while working for his uncles, Jack and Carl Mardis. He worked in the aircraft industry for a few years before starting a life long career with KDOT. He started as a laborer on Nov. 1, 1965 in WaKeeney, covering northwest Kansas and I70. He later moved back to B
