Milford Lee Wencel, age 97, of Wichita, Kansas, died on April 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Milford was born in Caldwell, Kansas, in 1928 to Rose and Frank Wencel. He graduated from Kansas State University and served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He worked at Boeing Aircraft Company as a project manager until his retirement in 1985. He then took on what he claimed was the most important job of his life, that of a grandfather (Papa). He is survived

Beverly Jayroe, 85, passed away on April 15, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is survived by her son Rhett and many other family members. Following cremation, services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Wellington Humane Society and sent in care of the mortuary.

Donald E. Schmitz, 95, of Caldwell, Kansas passed peacefully after a short illness on April 2, 2026 at his home with his children at his side. Donald was born the last child of Peter and Mary Schmitz, at home on their farm 11 miles west of Renfrow, Oklahoma on December 11, 1930. Don attended Mount Ridge District 17 school where he graduated from the 8 th grade. He then attended the Wakita, Oklahoma school district for 2 years.
